First, we want to thank you for visiting our humble site, and moreover for clicking on the Donate page!  All proceeds from Looking Out Across America will go to Brandi Carlile's Looking Out Foundation. We've decided to designate 50% of funds raised to the Fight the Fear Campaign, and the other 50% will go to the general fund.

So, if you've made it to this page, you're probably wondering "How can I help?" Great question!

1. Donate a flat amount to the Looking Out Foundation - any amount you'd like! 
   
   
   I won't pretend to be a tax expert, but your donation to the Looking Out Foundation is a tax write-off, as LOF is a 501(c)3!
2. Sponsor us by the mile - we'll be riding about 4,400 of them from Yorktown, VA to Seattle, WA!  Use the calculator HERE to determine the donation per mile that works for your budget, then use the "Donate" button below the calculator to donate that amount! Leave us a note in the memo line stating that you are sponsoring us for the total trip distance!
3. Sponsor us for the distance we'll pedal in one of your favorite states on the route.  Here is the mileage by state; you can put in various sponsorship by mile amounts into the handy-dandy calculator below and see what your total donation amount will be if you'd like to donate by state (or for the entire trip!)
4. Share our journey and cause with your favorite businesses and employers. We're looking for sponsors! Click HERE to download our sponsorship request letter, which spells out various levels of exposure for any organizations who choose to donate. Spread the word!

Also---keep in mind that many employers will match donations you make to charitable causes! Find out if yours does, and you can easily double your donation, with no extra expense to you!

You do not have to have a PayPal account to donate, it can be done via credit card. Enter the desired amount on the PayPal page, and please add a memo stating which state (or total, as appropriate) you are sponsoring! And your name if you feel comfortable - we'd like to give you a shout-out on a video blog in that state during the journey!
